Hair Regimen & Products

Under Construction

A typical wash day
  1. Prepoo? Sometimes
  2. Separate the hair in four sections
  3. Shampoo
  4. Deep condition for 30-60 minutes
  5. Rinse out
  6. Lightly towel dry excess water
  7. Dry it in a 100% cotton tee shirt
Air dry
Different things I do to my hair after it is washed
Air Dry
  • Tee shirt dry for as long as possible
  • Detangle with leave in conditioner and oil
  • Smooth my edges and apply my scarf to the front. Let the back of my hair hang out so it can finish drying.
  • Bun it before bed

  • Braid-out
After I detangle, I either put my hair in two French braids or I double strand twist my hair. I will add my Shea butter mix. Either small twists or jumbo twists or somewhere in the middle
  • Smooth my edges, put on my satin scarf and allow my hair to dry overnight

           Roller set
  • When I roller set, I like my hair to be somewhat damp. Either I re-wet it or cut down on tee shirt drying.
  • Rollers!
Detangle, leave in and serum hair section by section, apply grey and purple magnetic rollers.
  • Spray some setting lotion to achieve tighter curls
  • Allow it to dry under my soft bonnet dryer
  • When it dries I can remove the rollers and leave it as is OR Saran Wrap it after it dries for straight hair. Go under dryer with Saran Wrap for 10-20 minutes

Flexi-rods
I don't have a specific technique down yet but generally, I allow my hair to air dry and apply 3-5 flexi-rods. My first flexi set was done like a roller set. I had rods everywhere!

Maintaining styles
  • My go-to: Bun in satin scrunchie before bed
  • To maintain curls, I pin curl before bed.
  • Or cross wrap the hair to keep it bouncing
  • To maintain braid-outs, I re-braid for up to five days.
  • Twist-outs, I pineapple my hair or bun it.

  1. Hi sis have you notice that you have a lot of protein products, switch it up to moisture to stop breakage. Hope this help.
